Terms of Service

We've written these Terms in plain English. They're still legally binding, but at least you'll know what you're agreeing to. By using VidiVeni, you're accepting them. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

What VidiVeni is

VidiVeni is a platform for building AI-powered city trip guides delivered as offline-ready web apps. Registered users (travel businesses, beta participants) create guides and share them with travelers via a private link. The traveler installs the guide to their phone — no app store, no account required on their end.

VidiVeni is a trading name of Venema Consulting & Innovatie (KVK 42066462, VAT ID NL005472154B12), a company registered in the Netherlands. That company is your counterparty under these terms.

Your account

Sign up with accurate information. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If something looks wrong, tell us at [email protected] right away.

What you can and can't do

VidiVeni is for building real travel guides for real travelers. You agree not to:

• Use the platform for anything illegal
• Try to access other users' accounts or reverse-engineer the software
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written consent
• Run automated scripts against the platform outside of any documented API
• Generate guide content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful

AI-generated content

Guides are built with AI. We work hard to make them accurate and useful, but AI can be wrong — venues close, opening hours change, details drift. Review your guide before sharing it with travelers. We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any generated content, and we're not liable for decisions travelers make based on it.

Your content, our software

You keep ownership of your account data and any custom content you add to your guides. The platform, its software, and its design belong to VidiVeni and are protected by intellectual property law. AI-generated guide content is licensed to you for use within the service.

Guide links and delivery

Every guide gets a unique, private link. A link expires a week after the trip ends; a guide with no trip dates keeps its link for a year. You can revoke a link at any time from your dashboard. Once a traveler installs the guide it keeps working offline until its link expires or is revoked — a revoked link stops the guide the next time the traveler's phone is online.

Partner links in guides

A guide may carry a small number of clearly labelled partner links — to book tickets, a tour or a travel eSIM through a partner such as GetYourGuide or Airalo. If a traveler buys through one, the partner pays VidiVeni a commission; the traveler pays nothing extra. Partner links never decide which venues appear in a guide or how they are described, and no venue pays to be listed, ranked or featured. Each guide's own Terms carry the same statement in the guide's language, and an organization can switch partner links off for every guide it issues.

Price

VidiVeni is sold to businesses that host or guide travellers, and accounts are opened by invitation. We run a small pilot: what it includes, what it costs and how it ends are agreed in writing with each partner before it starts. Nothing is charged through this website, there are no automatic renewals, and we never ask for card details. If that ever changes, these Terms change first.

Suspension and closing your account

We can suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. You can close your account yourself at any time from your profile page — there is no subscription to cancel and no penalty. If you are the only owner of an organization that still has other members, ownership has to move to a colleague first; ask us and we will move it. Closing your account deletes it straight away and revokes every guide you made. A revoked guide's link stops working for anyone who holds it, and how long we keep the guide is set out in our Privacy & Cookie Policy. A traveler's installed guide stops working the next time their phone is online after its link is revoked.

Our liability

We're a small team providing a good-faith service. To the extent the law permits, VidiVeni isn't liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you won't exceed what you've paid us in the 12 months before any claim arises, unless a written pilot agreement sets a different amount.

The service is provided as-is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free — we work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of the Netherlands.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We'll let registered users know about meaningful changes by email or through the dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the change.
